Yesterday was a huge dose of reality of what its like to get three babies and yourself ready and make it to an appointment on time. We had our first Dr. appointment with Dr. Ho in Sugar Land. It took me and Jason about an hour just to get the babies ready and load them in the Tahoe. It was quite the adventure, but we did survive.
Dr. Ho was very please with the progress that the babies have made. They are growing like weeds and they will be one month old this Saturday.
Aiden is now 5 pounds 4.2 ounces and 19 and a half inches long
Landon is now 5 pounds 4.5 ounces and 19 inches long
Cooper is now 5 pounds 15 ounces and 19 and a half inches long
It has been NUTS at the Peacock household since all three babies came home. It was a piece of cake with just one baby and then Landon was sent home and it still was not that bad. BUT you add number three in the mix and the craziness begins. When you only have two hands it is really hard to comfort three crying babies. My mom came down this past weekend which was a HUGE help!! She helped feed the babies, cooked us dinner and did our laundry. What a GREAT Mims the babies have!!! Jason has been a great help too!!! He still gets up during the nights and helps me feed the babies. It now takes us about 45 minutes to feed, change and put all three babies back to sleep. The first two night with all three babies was tough. It consisted of us getting NO sleep. The babies were eating every three hours and it was taking forever to feed, change and get them back to sleep. BUT.........it all changed after our visit with Dr. Ho yesterday. He suggested that we only feed the babies every three hours during the day and at night just let them sleep as long as they want to. Last night was GREAT!!!! Jason and I were able to catch up on some MUCH needed sleep. Kim (Jason's sister) came over and helped with the 8 pm feed and then we put the babies in their crib for the first time after the 11pm feed. They slept until 3 am (4 hours) before we had to get up to feed them and then they slept until 8am (another 5 hours). We are hoping that tonight goes as well as last night.
