Our first over night trip to Austin

Last Thursday we took our first trip to Austin to visit my mom (Mims) and for my Grandmother's 83rd Birthday. Packing for three babies for three days was crazy. We had to take tons of clothes, diapers, formula, two strollers (a double and a single), toys, three boppys and much more stuff. We HAVE to get a bigger vehicle. We have officially outgrown the Tahoe.

We left the house around 4:30pm and stopped in Smithville to feed the babies at Granny and Pa-Paw's house. We visited for a few hours and then we were off to Austin to my mom's house. We got there around 10pm and put the babies down in their beds. They slept until 4:30am.......They have never slept this long. They slept from 7:30pm until 4:30am...That is 9 hours!!!!! Well, the next night they woke up at there normal time 2:30am. I guess they were just really tired on Thursday night, but I sure wish they would keep sleeping for 9 hours. That would make life SO much easier. Anyways, on Friday we went to my mom's (Mims) work to visit and that night we took the babies to a restaurant (Catfish Parlor) for the first time. They were so good the entire time!!! They just looked around and of course every person in there had to come up and see them :) The babies also got to visit with there cousin Sage. Sage stayed the night with us at my moms house and she was a great little helper.

On Saturday we went to my Grandmothers (Maw-Maw) 83rd Birthday. This was the first time she has seen the babies. The babies go to meet a lot of other family members for the first time as well.

Overall it was a GREAT trip!! The babies are GREAT little travelers!

Just Because

The babies are almost three months old. They change so much from day to day. Cooper FINALLY rolled over for the first time yesterday and Aiden and Landon can now sit in there Bumbo chairs. They are growing up way too fast. They are still sleeping from 7:30 pm to 1:30 / 2:00am and then until 7:15 am. Jason and I are loving the new night time schedule!!!!

THEY DID IT!!!!!

The kids did it!!! They are almost sleeping through the night. I am so proud of them! They finally slept longer than four hours during the night!!! The babies get their last bottle at 7:00 pm and we have been putting them down at 9:00. Normally they wake back up at 11:00 for another bottle. Well, last Thursday I got some advice form another Triplet mom and she told me that the babies would sleep longer and better if we put them down around 7:30pm. So, it was worth a try. That night night Jason and I fed the babies at 7:00 and put them to bed at 7:30. We waited up as usual for the babies to wake up for there 11:00 feed and at 12:00am they were still asleep so we decided to go to bed. They woke up at 1:30am to eat and then they slept until 7:00am. We thought for sure that this was a fluke and that this was only a one night thing......WELL they have stuck to this schedule for five nights in a row. NOW we have to train ourselves to go to sleep by 8:00 and we can actually sleep for almost five hours before their 2am feed and then another three to four hours. We have forgotten what its like to actually sleep, but last night we went to bed at 8:30 and today I feel GREAT!!! I just hope they can keep this up and hopefully they will eventually sleep through the night.

Happy Grandparents Day

We all spent the day with the BEST Mims EVER (my mom) !!! She comes to our house every weekend and has not missed a weekend since the babies have been born. She drives up here from Austin on Friday and goes home on Monday night. We are happy that we go to spend Grandparents Day with her. We played in the playroom, went for a walk, played in the back yard and then ended the day with grilled steaks and baked potatoes.
